Sample No. \ 14113-F.) / This product was insect-infested. • ' On August 27, 1942, the United States attorney for the District of Nevada filed a libel against 34 cases, each case containing 12 cellophane bags of egg noodles at Las Vegas, Nev., alleging that the article had been shipped in interstate com- merce on or about January 2 and April 30, 1941, by the Superior Macaroni Co. through the Spartan Grocers, .from Los Angeles, Calif.; and charging that it was adulterated in that it consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance. The article was labeled in part: (Bag) "Delicious Brand Kwik-Kook Egg Noodles." On September 19, 1942, no claimant having appeared, judgment of condemna- tion was entered and the product was ordered destroyed.
