On February 19, 1942, the United States attorney for the Middle District of Georgia filed an information against the Juliette Milling Co., a corporation, at. Juliette, Ga., alleging shipment on or about July 29, 1940, from the State of Georgia into the State of Florida of a quantity of corn meal that was adulterated in that it consisted in whole in part of a filthy substance. The article was labeled in part: "Juliette Meal." On October 19, 1942, a plea of guilty having been entered on behalf of the defendant the court imposed a fine of $50.
