1849. Adulteration of eandy. U. S. v. 20 Boxes of Candy. Default decree of condemnation and destruction. (F. D. C. No. 4108. Sample No. 44234-E.) On April 1 1941, the United States attorney for the District of Montana filed a libel against 20 boxes of candy at Livingston, Mont., alleging that the article had been shipped on or about March 19, 1941,- by the Cooper Candy Co, from Denver, Colo.; and charging that it was adulterated in that it con- tained rodent hairs and consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance. On May 8, 1941, no claimant having appeared, judgment of condemnation was entered and the product was ordered destroyed.
