824. Adulteration of blueberries. TT. S. v. 3 Crates of Blueberries. Default de¬ cree of condemnation and destruction. (F. D. C. No. 2761. Sample No. 36091-E.) On August 30, 1940, the United States attorney for the District of Massachu- setts filed a libel against three crates of blueberries at Boston, Mass., alleging that the article had been shipped in interstate commerce on or about August 30,1940, by Charles E. Cheever from South Lyndeboro, N. H.; and charging that it was adulterated in that it consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance. It was labeled in part: (Tag) "Berries Adams Chapman Co. * * * Boston From has. E. Cheever So. Lyndeboro, N. H." On September 23, 1940, no claimant having appeared, judgment of condemna- tion was entered and the product was ordered destroyed.
