Sample No. t>3951—Di) On September 11, 1939, the United States attorney for the Eastern Distract of Missouri filed a libel against 29 bushels of apples at St. Louis, Mo., alleging that the article had been transported in interstate commerce on or jabout August 24, 1939, by George Lorsbach from Hardin, Ill.; and charging tfcat it was adulterated in that it contained added poisonous or deleterious ingredients, arsenic and lead, which might have rendered it harmful to health. On October 30, 1939, no claimant having appeared, judgment of condemnation wras entered and the product was ordered destroyed.
