27038. Adulteration of cream. TJ. S. v. One 10-Gallon Can of Cream. Consent decree of condemnation and destruction. (F. & D. no. 37S58. Sample no. 71062-B.) This product was filthy and decomposed. On June 16, 1936, the United States attorney for the Northern District of California, acting upon a report by the Secretary of Agriculture, filed in the district court a libel praying seizure and condemnation of one 10-gallon can of cream at Sacramento, Calif., alleging that the article had been shipped in inter- state commerce, on or about June 10, 1936, by Joe Morris from Reedsport, Oreg., and charging adulteration in violation of the Food and Drugs Act. The article was alleged to be adulterated in that it consisted in whole or in part of a filthy, decomposed, or putrid animal substance. On June 16, 1936, the consignee having consented to the entry of a decree, judgment of condemnation was entered and the product was ordered destroyed. W. R. GBEGG, Acting Secretary of Agriculture.
