On July 11, 1927, the United States attorney for the District of Delaware, acting upon a report by the Secretary of Agriculture, filed in the District Court of the United States for said district an information against the Halde- man-Tribbitt-Davidson Oyster Co., a corporation, Bowers, Del., alleging ship ment by said company, in violation of the food and drugs act, on or about October 13, 16, 20, .and 25, 1926, respectively, from the State of Delaware intc the State of New York, of quantities of oysters which were adulterated. It was alleged in the information that the article was adulterated, in that i substance, to wit, water, had been mixed and packed therewith so as to reduce lower, and injuriously affect its quality and strength, and had been substitutec in part for oysters, which the said article purported to be. On November 7, 1927, a plea of guilty to the information was entered oi behalf of the defendant company, and the court imposed a fine of $20. W. M. JARDINE, Secretary of Agriculture.
