1374. Adulteration of double distilled water. V. S. v. 195 Vials of Double Dis tilled Water. Default decree of condemnation and destruction. (F. D. C. No. 12214. Sample No. 67420-F.) On April 21, 1944, the United States attorney for the Northern District of Ohio filed a libel against 195 vials, each containing 100 cubic centimeters, of the above- named product at Cleveland, Ohio, alleging that it had been shipped on or about January 27 and February 14, 1944, by the Cheplin Biological Laboratories, Inc.. Syracuse, N. Y; and charging that it was adulterated. The article was alleged to be adulterated in that it was represented as a double distilled water, a drug the name of which is recognized in an official compendium, but its quality and purity fell below the official standard since it did not meet the test for oxidizable substances set forth in the National Formulary. On June 15,1944, no claimant having appeared, judgment of condemnation was entered and the product was ordered destroyed.
